My name is Hengyue. I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (May 2025), advised by Prof. Ju Sun. I am currently an Applied Scientist at Amazon (Applied AI - World-Wide Store), based in Bellevue, WA.

My work focuses on building and deploying production Agentic AI systems at enterprise scale, spanning areas such as web-based task automation, agent reliability and observability, and automated workflow generation. I also maintain an active research agenda on agent evaluation and trustworthy AI (KDD 2025, TMLR).

My research background spans trustworthy AI, adversarial robustness, selective classification, and computer vision. Before UMN, I earned an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and a B.Eng. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China).
